The late designer Alexander McQueen will not be replaced by Gareth Pugh, the Telegraph UK reports. Members of the fashion community speculated that Pugh would assume McQueen's helm at Gucci, but a statement issued by Pugh's press rep. said, "Further to speculative reports earlier this week, Gareth Pugh is not in discussions with Gucci Group about a Creative Director role at Alexander McQueen." McQueen's last collection is set to be shown this week in Paris.

Nor should he. If anything he is a parody of McQueen. It would be the same thing as replacing Einstein with someone who wears the same haircut but knows no math or physics.
McQueen was a bleedin genius. Cannot be replaced. Such a loss. It breaks my heart.
