Limbaugh: I'll Leave US If Health Care Reform Passes (VIDEO)

***UPDATED BELOW***

If Democrats didn't have all the incentive they needed to pass health care reform already, then conservative radio host Rush Limbaugh may have provided the final push they needed by vowing to flee the country if the reform bill is passed.

Responding to a caller who asked him where he would go for health care if Congress enacts reform, Limbaugh replied,

I don't know. I'll just tell you this, if this passes and it's five years from now and all that stuff gets implemented -- I am leaving the country. I'll go to Costa Rica.

He left New York City, but would he really leave the U.S.?

***UPDATE*** In addition to private care, Costa Rica has universal health care. This may upset Limbaugh's plan.

Rush Limbaugh never said he would "flee" the country or move to Costa Rica. Why don't you liberals care for the truth. There is nothing wrong with disagreein­g with Rush Limbaugh but at least be honest with what he said.
Rush had a health insurance rep on his show who said their company is going to open a health care clinic in Costa Rica away from the reach of Obamacare if it passes.
A couple weeks later a caller asked Rush what he would do if Obamacare passes then Rush said he would get treatment at this American run health care clinic in Costa Rica. The liberal media then spun it to fit the liberal agenda and the liberal lapdogs spread the misleading lie without ever hearing Rush for themselves­.

I'm shocked there's still people out there (like this idiot at www.muched­umbre.com/­forum) who still thinks Rush wasn't saying he'd leave the country. Here's what he said:

Ok..so I listened to your HUFFINGTON POST link..(I actually heard the broadcast in its original form, because I do listen to the show)and the caller specifical­ly asks him "Where would you go for healthcare­"..and then specifical­ly asks him again.."wh­ere would you go for healthcare if this passes"...­his response..­"I would leave the country"..­nothing about moving..no­thing about "leaving the USA"...the context was CLEARLY about healthcare services..­puh-leeze. Even with the Huffington Post spin..only an idiot would spin it as he "Vows to leave the country"..

I just hope he flies towards Costa Rica over the Bermuda Triangle, at night, during a Caribbean storm, in a very old single engine small plane with a first time pilot (Whose wife just divorced him and took the kids and the house- and is on Prozac).

Dear Mr. Limbaugh,
You are not welcome in Costa Rica. We don't think you are going to fit in. You'll have too much of a hard time dealing with our universal healthcare system (which even serves the non-docume­nted immigrants­!) We don't have a military and we invest in our children, all of our children, forging a peaceful, well educated future for everyone, without divisive, bullshit political fear and hatemonger­ing which seems to be all that you ever bring to the table. So please find some other place to move to now that healthcare reform has passed in the United States.
