Regents Exams May Be Cut To Save Money

Are the Regents exams, a source of both angst and academic achievement for generations of New York high school students, headed for the wastebasket?

Some may be. The state Board of Regents will consider eliminating more than a dozen of the high-stakes tests next week to save up to $13.7 million in preparation costs.
