Ryan Seacrest Slammed By Some Oscar Viewers For Not Asking 'Who Are You Wearing?'

Ryan Seacrest, host of "Live from the Red Carpet: The 2010 Academy Awards," has been slammed by bloggers, fashion elite and red carpet home viewers for failing to ask the all-important question, "Who are you wearing?" the New York Times reports.

Susan Kaufman, editor of People StyleWatch recalled seeing Sandra Bullock's silvery-gold gown:

"I'm screaming at the TV: 'Ask her who's she wearing!' " Ms. Kaufman said. "I was so angry, my husband was laughing at me."

But the President of Production for E! Kevin MacLellan was satisfied that style questions took the back seat, explaining, "Ryan did absolutely everything we wanted him to do."

I don't understand the popularity of Ryan Seacrest. He is such a bore. What in the world has made him so popular? Am I alone here?

I didn't watch the awards, but I am glad that he didn't ask. I get so sick of that. This is just an advertisement for thre designers and does not add anything to the proceedings. In fact, I think it cheapens it.
