Jon Stewart Author Interview: Eamon Javers On Corporate Espionage (VIDEO)

Politico reporter Eamon Javers was on "The Daily Show" last night to talk about corporate espionage and his new book, "Broker, Trader, Lawyer, Spy." In the book, he exposes the secret world of corporate "rent-a-spy," in which private corporations from chocolate companies to hedge funds hire spies from the CIA, MI5, KGB and others to help them spy on other companies and find ways to make more money. The really shocking part of all this, as Jon Stewart points out, is that many of these spies are simultaneously working for their governments, which allow their agents to take on "moonlighting" gigs.
The government is beginning to regulate these moonlighting jobs, said Javers, but there is still a major problem of conflicted interests.
