Despite its many charms, living in Paris in the midst of these lean economic times may come to seem even more untenable when you learn that it tops the Economist Intelligence Unit's survey of the most expensive cities in the world to live in.
The survey analyzes the cost of living in 132 cities around the world by comparing such categories as housing, food and transportation. For those looking to relocate, Mumbai came in second to last, and indeed fell one spot from the 2009 survey, in which it was the 130th most expensive city.
