Chicago Unemployment 11.6% In January: Highest In Almost 27 Years

Unemployment in metropolitan Chicago jumped to 11.6% in January, the highest in almost 27 years.
The seasonally unadjusted jobless rate for January rose from 10.6% during the prior month in the Chicago-Naperville-Joliet area, according to figures released by the Illinois Department of Employment Security.
