CNN has signed conservative commentator an RedState.com editor Erick Erickson as a political contributor.

Erickson will appear weeknights on "John King, USA," the network's new 7PM program which launches next week. He will also contribute to programming across the network.

"CNN made an offer I couldn't refuse," Erickson wrote Tuesday. "I've joined the network. Starting next Monday, you'll be seeing a lot of me. I'm very excited by the opportunity. Thanks for the prayers and well wishes. This is the path God put me on and it was totally unexpected, but I go where the good Lord leads."

"Erick's a perfect fit for John King, USA, because not only is he an agenda-setter whose words are closely watched in Washington but as a person who still lives in small-town America, Erick is in touch with the very people John hopes to reach,"CNN's political director Sam Feist said in an announcement. "With Erick's exceptional knowledge of politics as well as his role as a conservative opinion leader, he will add an important voice to CNN's ideologically diverse group of political contributors."

WHY would CNN hire someone like this? He is a nut bar for God sake! Oh I am sure John King is thrilled to have a hate speaker on his program, don't tell me he even had a CHOICE! I realize you are trying to be like Fox, since CNN has taken such a beating in the Ratings, but surely to Heaven , do you have to totally implode? Give your head a shake! Are you , condoning ,or agreeing, with his statement about pulling out a gun, and shooting a Census taker? If you do, I have lost all respect for you as being even "somewhat" credible! People still watch CNN even if it's ratings have dropped, but they sure won't if you get in the excrement and roll around with FOX News!

His loser site is crying right now about how Democrats are not their friends. That is true. Clearly they have not been listening to their own party rhetoric as to why.

They whine about health care and how no one listens to them while conveniently ignoring the fact that they had many many years to do something about health care and never did. Now they care because Democrats are doing the hard work? It is hard and a lot of people don't want to deal with health care until they get sick.

CNN embracing the right may give Faux a run for their money but these people are the worst kind of politicians for the country.

Hiring this man will do nothing to inform the viewers or help to move this terribly damaged country forward. I will now boycott your network. Your line-up was already incredibly weak and now is just caustic.

CNN is rudderless. Somebody better tell them there's an iceberg ahead. Is it me or are a lot of rats leaving the ship. Sorry. I feel nautical today.

This kind of garbage is exactly why I stopped watching CNN YEARS AGO, they are still trying to be fox news Jr., the same right wing nonsense, smears, hate, and lies plus the worst interveiwer EVER Larry King, MSNBC is certainly not the greatest around and they are FAR from it, but they do have Racheal Maddow and Keith Olbermann which makes MSNBC at least tolerable............
