Got a call from my uncle from Boehner's District
... His neighbor called & spoke to "Eli" in Boehner's DC office.

Eli told my uncle's neighbor that
1. Eli isn't sure if Boehner wants to regulate banks

2. Eli has worked there since July 2009 and still does not know if Boehner supports regulating banks.

3. Eli said he did not have Boehner's "Talking points"  Read More...

How can Ohio Republicans have the conscience to vote for Boehner who is helping banks to fight regulation when the PUBLIC is furious at how the big banks sailed through the financial crisis, bonus and all?

John Boehner is abit of a fake. He enlisted in the US Navy during the Viet Nam War, but was discharged only after eight weeks for medical reasons. Yet when he campaigned for office in Ohio, he claimed to be a Viet Nam War Veteran. His true medical reasons? Mentally unfit for duty.

Also, Boehner has always been heavily influenced by Ag lobbiests. In June 1995, the Washington Post reported Boehner caught up in unethical conduct when he took contributions from tobacco industry lobbyists, to have tobacco susbidized by the government..

His condescending tone has everything to do with his affilliation with Newt Gingrich back in 1994, when he was apart of the "Contract for America". Bill Clinton use to call it "Contract on America". Boehner literally has a distain for Americans but has plenty of respect for the corporate elites, since they find him easy to manipulate, without making big cash contributions to his campaigns for office.

Why Ohioans, who have lost many of their jobs and homes, keep sticking this guy back into office is beyond any reason, unless they enjoy self-inflicted pain.

As the first "Orange" American to achieve such high public office Boehner is a disgrace to his people.

Hopefully the "punk" staffers took this as the call to arms that it is and will be more adamant than ever before, opting to beat back the bankers instead of pandering to them as Boehner obviously does.

Hey , maybe one of those punk staffers will save Johns notes and give them to Olberman . Watch out Boehner.

why does his state keep him in office? don't they realize how he makes them look? If he is so concerned about the budget, why doesn't he renounce his pension and salary?

Boehner is NOT supposed to make statements to the press after he drinks his lunch, or breakfast, or dinner.

That photo's great, isn't it? You can just hear him saying: "Annn' lemme tellya anudder fing, buddy-uddyboy ... " as he lurches over the podium, barely catching himself.

Another case to investigate the entire industry for RICO violations:

Wachovia has agreed to pay US prosecutors 160 million dollars for its failure to stop drug money being laundered to Mexican affiliates, the DEA said Wednesday.

The embattled bank admitted it failed to stop an estimated 110 million dollars from being sent from the US to Mexico by wire transfer that was used to buy cocaine-transporting aircraft.

We do not need a new regulatory structure. Yes, the Republicans are full of it. But Dodd, Barney Frank and the Administration are, respectively, naive, cynical, and clueless both on the politics of financial regulatory reform and, especially, on the substance. Their bills do not address the cause of the crisis. And they know it. All that is needed is to enforce vigorously current rules on risk management and safety and soundness standards -- in addition, those unregulated lenders who remain should be covered. Do not promulgate new rules or pass laws that do not address the cause of the crisis. An independent consumer protection agency would only make a complex web of financial regulation worse, not better. Consolidating all regulatory agencies would also fail to cure what caused the crisis. We don't need to move the deck chairs around, the ship will sink anyway unless we plug the holes in the hull. One of the holes is caused by the failure of the existing system to blow the whistle on lenders exceeding the greed limit -- nothing new needed besides the will to enforce the rules we have. Perhaps the biggest hole is caused by the Fed -- make it more transparent and accountable, for we know not what, if anything, they do. To protect consumers, then direct OCC and OTS to do that job. The House bill is a cynical, politically expedient sham. Barney and Dodd agree to abolish the OTS merely because it doesn't cost anything politically.

John really likes bankers. Just to put Boehner's pep talk into perspective, check out this link:

http://www.opensecrets.org/politicians/industries.php?cycle=2008&type=I&cid=N00003675&newMem=N&recs=20

Spoiler alert:

Campaign contributions, 2008 election cycle.

150K$ from commercial banks
181k$ from finance and investment
66K$ from misc. finance

The above doesn't include his leadership pac

John was #3 recipient of commercial bank contributions in 2008. Way to go John!

Pharmaceuticals gave Mr. B. even more than bankers that year! I guess they get a lap dance.

Boehner's hate is going to make him mentally ill if he isn't careful. He needs to take a deep breath and sober up. These Obstructionists are going to be ever so awful until November and somehow the business of running the country is going to be up to the democrats...and I do hope that the Dems are not so afraid of the jobs they will lose that they cave. It won't matter in November and during the summer whether what you hear is true or not...the Party of No has dug their trench and they will continue to lie and encourage vitolic speech and incite hateful riots. It is a pity that this country has leadership that will steep so low. And so many citizens who are drinking the red and yellow koolaid.
