Warren Buffett Plays Axl Rose In Hilarious New Geico Commercial (VIDEO)

Warren Buffett Axl Rose

Yes, you read that headline correctly.

In a new commercial from Geico that we don't feel at all sheepish in calling both incredibly catchy and kinda majestic, the Oracle Of Omaha dons an Axl Rose costume. (Hat tip to Time.com and Morning Money.)

If that weren't enough, Buffett also sings -- and surprisingly successfully. "We're always true to you," Buffett sings (apparently without the help of Auto-Tune.)

Buffett's Berkshire Hathaway owns Geico, and they may have found their next pitchman. Here's to hoping he replaces that annoying lizard.

I think Mr. Buffet is trying to get people to like him again. There is alot of disappointment that this man is not sticking up for the people and is siding with the big banks. I don't blame him. He is a business man. Sometimes you have to put aside business for awhile during crisis and do the right thing. In the end, I truly thing he'll do the best he can.

It isn't news that Buffett likes to sing. He does it every year at the Berkshire-Hathaway shareholders convention.

No two ways about it, that was a great commercial.
And no surprise that Warren Buffet starred - he is that rarest of breeds: a fabulously wealthy man who still has a heart and soul - and is respected worldwide for his integrity.

God bless him!

Axl WHO?? I thought (okay, hoped) the '80s were over.

But I thought the cowbell was a nice touch. "More cowbell!"

Y'all need to get off your high horse. Thats the 3rd richest man in the world "dancing" around. Thats awesome. You couldn't get the 3rd richest man in your home town to do this. Plus if you're worried about the price of car insurance buy his stock too. I made 20 grand on his stock in the last 6 months. I have no idea, nor do i care, what i paid for car insurance.

I think Geico has some very imaginative people in its advertising department. I am really surprised that they got away with the caveman, though, since it's so closely parallel to racial conflict. The Gecko started out as a real gecko in the front of a pickup truck, licking its eye for moisture. He's come a long way too, and I for one find him tres amusing! Especially in the "trust" exercise when the CEO falls backward and he's supposed to catch. Splat!

Kudos to Warren Buffet, too. People take themselves entirely too seriously these days.

Are you kidding me? You don't post those kinds of things or tell people about it, you are asking for an accident! Don't you know that?

Axel Rose is a blond. Warren Buffet looks more like Ozzy Osbourne in this video.

Like everthing else our economic decisions are deriving from personal and chosen group considerations rather than valid knowledge and data of actual conditions and economic trends. Even the insider trading Buffet of unwonted weath is getting in on the act.
There are other growing, developing economic gargantuan organizations with leaders who have respect for rational and empirically based knowledge in their decision making. Our country's decision making knowledge is vitiating in its reliability and validity as the knowledge sources are undermined by hidden agenda and self interests.
