March Madness got off to a thrilling start Thursday, and the exciting action continued throughout the night. Several high-seeded teams were eliminated and viewers were treated to multiple overtime contests. Scroll down for a complete rundown of the day's game.

- 15-seed Robert Morris University nearly upset 2-seed Villanova, but fell short in overtime.

- 13-seed Murray State stunned 4-seed Vanderbilt with an amazing buzzer beater. One powerful person predicted the upset.
- Baylor, a 3-seed, easily handled Sam Houston State.
- 2-seed Kansas State crushed North Texas.
- Saint Mary's edged 7-seed Richmond to win its first NCAA Tournament game in more than 50 years.
- 5-seed Butler took over in the second half and sent UTEP packing.
- 9-seed Northern Iowa sank UNLV with a dramatic three-point shot.
- Ohio, a 14-seed, stunned heavily favored Georgetown in a blowout.
- Kentucky utterly destroyed East Tennessee State, reaching the 100-point mark.
- Washington staged a huge comeback to upset 6-seed Marquette with a last-second shot.
- Tennessee held off a late charge from San Diego State.
- Top-ranked Kansas dismissed Lehigh, 90-74.
- Wake Forest came back in overtime to down Texas with a clutch shot as time ran down.
- 3-seed New Mexico held off longshot Montana... barely.
