The Most Expensive Homes On Zillow (PHOTOS)

Huffington Post     First Posted: 05/19/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 04:55 PM ET

If you're in the market for a home with, say, a 16-car garage or feel that you absolutely need 19 fireplaces, you're in the right place.

More likely, you'll just want to gawk at these incredibly expensive homes provided by the folks at the real estate website Zillow. All priced above $50 million, these homes are hard to even fathom -- more than one, in fact, comes with a private golf course.

For more on these homes, head to Zillow's massive database of real estate listings and price information. Or, start saving for the monthly payments on these palaces -- the mortgages will run you a couple hundred thousand dollars a month.

I don't understand the media. Every day all day the news here on the HP is about how screwed we are, and then they put this up. And they back these people, these rich people, by pushing socialized health care on us. No, don't make the gazillionares pay for it, make the middle class pay for it. Pfffft!

They look so lonely to me. Maybe for someone with a large family.

there is a home in Rancho Santa Fe whose 10 car garage also has white carpeting.
no oil leaks there. one can only assume that you'd lose your head if you dropped a bit of pate
in the dining pavillion.

WOW my imagination has just gone wild thinking about owning one! Don't know about the locations though, I'm pretty picky, defiantly need a beach location. Think about it a dream house like these really?? I guess I would want it in a specific location, they are alright for visiting and partys but for everyday I want the beach. LOL

Many people have hundreds of millions of dollars. They can put the money in a bank ( not really safe ) invest in a shopping center or raw land in Montana. Stocks are risky too. When they place their money into one of these mansions, they and their friends get to enjoy some of that money. You can't take it with you so enjoy your time on earth.

That San Francisco house is a notorious white elephant that's been on the market for years with no takers. It's a spec house that's not even finished inside -- it's never been occupied. And all the neighbors hate it.

Exactly... in a word, gross. These homes look oh so amazing, but they'd look a whole lot better if they were on fire.

The only reason we don't eat the rich is that they're so utterly tasteless.

Interesting sociological experiment, but pretty shallow. If he was asking for things like "Karl wants health care reform" or "Karl wants world peace" maybe I could see some credit in what he's doing, but he just wants stuff. Stuff! You know what Jennifer wants? Jennifer wants people like Karl to wake up and see that a Kindle 2 can't make you the happiest person on earth.
