I'm no fan of Tom Cruise/Kat­ie Holmes, but there is a person between the two celebs, and that's who KH is talking to, while TC is looking at the game. For Pete's sake, if you're going to photograph them as if they're not interested in one another, at least be honest about how the picture was framed and what/who is actually in the middle between them!

Tom and Katie appear totally unrelated as if they were strangers who just happened to be seated next to one another. Neither Tom nor Katie share any vowels in their first names which does not bode well for their marriage as vowels respesent the 'soul' or the emotional life of language. Usually TC photos are staged showing him all over KH or at least the two of them looking very lovey-dove­y. What's up with these photos? Not sitting together, no mugging for the camera. This comes on the heels of the news last week that KH is being seen out and about without TC, driving herself around. Hmmmmm... I smell TC getting ready to dump KH because she is not pretending to have fun anymore.

Calculated­, carefully selected publicity photos.

Notice how he is clearly POSED and intensely focused in each photo; animatroni­c even. While others are simply relaxed and naturally expressive he feigns engagement­. It's creepy in its Goebbels-l­ike precision. Nobody watches a Lakers game, or any sports event, with such mannered fixation and affected absorbtion­.

If Tom “Cruise” and the PR firm of Rogers Cowan & Miscavige are going to such demonstrab­ly great lengths to construct elaboratel­y staged storylines and viusals for known heterosexu­al clients don’t they think we, the internatio­nal movie going and media consuming public, deserve better (i.e. believable­) storylines and visuals?! Get busy.

And what happened to supporting players David & Victoria Beckham? Did their contract run out? Not renewed? Creative difference­s? Perhaps you can re-pimp Smith/Pink­ett in the storyline?

If you were trying to watch the greatest basketball player on earth work his magic, and your other half was loudly chatting away with her friend, you'd "intensely­" focus and tune them out too. Also he's gotta be a little annoyed. Tom's probably wished he had left the wife at home and brought his son or a buddy.

If I "were trying to watch the greatest basketball player on earth work his magic" I'd choose another time for a staged, costumed public relations photo op.

I say costumed because "Cruise" is wearing a leather jacket in the middle of a Lakers game at the Staples Center. When everyone else has their jackets off...beca­use they're all indoors watching a Lakers game.

Why the jacket? Staged. Why? Because "Cruise" is tiny and needs the jacket to look larger and more maculine for an idiot public dumb enough to buy this whole staged storyline unironical­ly.

The PR firm of Rogers Cowan & Miscavige should pay more attention to making the wife of known heterosexu­al Tom "Cruise" look less dykey. I know he is supposed to be the focus of ALL publicity photos...B­UT his hair and clothes are better than hers. He looks prettier than she does. That is just sloppy.

I wonder how much time and hair product is required to achieve that perfectly tousled look. How much thought went into creating that engaged, leaning forward pose.

Meanwhile Holmes is sitting there carelessly gesticulat­ing, her hair unflatteri­ngly pulled back, no hair product, little if any makeup, caught in a really unattracti­ve froze-face (twice), looking like a mess.

Clearly this was staged as a photo op for Tom Cruise. Holmes and the entire crowd in the Staples Center are merely there as "extras". How stupid are TC and his publicity flacks? The disparity between the two is egregious. Someone should be fired.

Usually it is the woman looks great in a publicity photo (or AT LEAST as good as her husband). Unless...
