Annubis crossed the river this morning, arriving at the South Street Seaport by barge. A 25-foot statue of the Egyptian jackal-headed god is part of a returning exhibit of artifacts from King Tut's tomb.

King Tut's entourage was last seen in New York City in 1979 when the exhibit at the Met attracted 1.8 million visitors. The exhibit will be in New York City until January 2011.
