Fort Collins Coloradoan:

Former Republican vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin is targeting Betsy Markey and 16 other Democratic House incumbents who voted for the just-passed health care bill.

"We're going to reclaim the power of the people from those who disregarded the will of the people. We're going to fire them and send them back to the private sector, which has been shrinking thanks to their destructive government-growing policies," Palin said Tuesday on her Facebook page.

When you run for office - and people believe in you and VOTE for you - and you take an OATH to serve the public interests....then you QUIT the job (after state authorities find you GUILTY of ABUSE of your power/authority). Someone like this - who ABORTS their position of responsibility and ABANDONS the voters - this person deserves NO RESPECT, nor should be giving any platform to talk with voters anywhere about politics. Palin has shown herself to be morally inferior in leaving office. She is shrewd in making all that money - which begs the question: DOES she TITHE 10% to the church? She is so vocal about her beliefs...we're just wondering if she puts her money where her (big) mouth is? or is she really a phony wannabe? Phony / fake / FRAUD wins my vote! Thanks but no thanks!

She should make sure that SHE is not in someones' crosshairs-- she's a tough talker.......!

Already now, Palin has inflicted more damage to the US than Bin Laden ever could. She is a terrorist and a potential mass murderer, implicitly calling for murder of dozens and dozens of Americans..

Sarah puts gun sights on Democratic House incumbents who voted for the just-passed health care bill. This is inflammatory and typical of the ignorance and bigotry that has recently been demonstrated by Sarah Palin and members of the Republican Tea Party. Gun sights, name calling, fear mongering, racism and disrespect on the floor of Congress seems to be the fair of the day and part and parcel of the republican propaganda machine. We already have disrespect for our President being shouted out "You Lie" during a televised address of the Congress. Pretty soon we'll be looking like some the the foreign governments with fist fights breaking out in the house of congress. If Sarah thinks that gun sights are appropriate to use for people who disagree with her then I guess turn about is fair play. Imagine Sarah and family on the front of a magazine in a 2012 election bid with gun sights and a subtitle "Democrats take Aim". You wouldn't hear the end of it and neither should she from those incumbents and families. Reality check; I do understand that the gun sights were not meant as an actual threat against those incumbents but only as symbolism. But what I am concerned about is the negative and provoking rhetoric. Just because you believe something to be true doesn't relieve you of your obligation to act in a civil and responsible manner.

I took the opportunity today to go online and contribute to both Representative Markey's and Representative Salazar's campaigns. It was a small price to pay. If everyone reading this article who feels as I do about this bill would do the same, we could show them how we feel in a meaningful way - by securing their place in office. Even five dollars to each would help. You can bet the business community will be backing their opponents. Come on! Show them what we've made of!

Thanks, I will too. Even though they are both a bit too centerist for my taste, I feel they should be rewarded for their courage in the face of so much irrational hate from the right.

I just got a flyer today from K Salazar saying he's apposed to the deficit, yet he voted for all this deficit spending . Come on.Salazar is just another 'yes man' afraid to buck the party.

FYI: Ken Salazar is Interior Secretary.
You really need to do your homework.

Sarah Palin is a very dangerous person because she feeds into peoples fears. She is out there promoting herself for the money and attention.

Absolutely but sadly to some extent the fear mongering works, that was Bush's ticket.

Palin, the intellectually challenged, doesn't even begin to understand what comes out of her own mouth. She doesn't care if it's accurate or has any bearing on reality... she just loves to whip her kool aid drinkers into a frenzy. I think of her brain as a birds nest... little broken twigs and leaves woven together to make a very small space that doesn't hold much.
I long for the day when she is no longer relevant to any discussion about anything anywhere!!

Amen. The "will of the people" was heard loud and clear on Nov. 4, 2008.

If I were a Democratic candidate I'd pay her good money to target me. Anyone she disparages is probably saying something more worthwhile than Sarah has to say herself.

Speaking of Target, I love shopping there. Which do you like better, Target or Walmart?
05:28 AM on 03/25/2010
Neither Thanks. I quit Sam Walton's shop years back and since there is no Target here there is no problem. I try to shop locally as much as is possible.

Why is the media not calling her out on the fact that she enjoys federally subsidized health care for her entire family via Todd's registration in a Native Alaskan Tribe?
11:24 PM on 03/24/2010
Ah, I wouldn't brag about the Indian Health Service care. It is scary.

She said Todd is "Eskimo". Thought they called themselves "Inuit",

Isn't he only half-Eskimo?

Depending on where they are from, Inuit or Yupik. But yeah, he's hooked to the government bandwagon.
