I completely agree. As a writer myself, I know to be published it is a rare occurrence when it happens to unknown authors. And yet we are getting a book a week by some flavor of the week celebrity who probably hasn't read one book for pleasure in their entire life, and has NO knowledge on how to actually write one! All these Real Housewives books that have come out or are scheduled to be released come to mind. Pathetic.

I write for myself and no one else, but I can seriously feel for you at a moment like this. Just speaking as a fan of books and the written word I am a little sick to my stomach.
Then again I felt sorry for all the unknown actors out there when this was a television show.
