Dwyane Wade STD Claim NOT True, Friend Says

As Dwyane Wade's divorce proceedings continue to play out, new tidbits emerge. The latest concerns an old claim that the Miami Heat star gave his wife an STD.

Wade's wife Siohvaughn claimed in January 2009 that the All Star gave her chlamydia, but a family friend says the allegation is untrue. TMZ reports that Andrea Williams, described as "a close friend of the Wades," testified that Siohvaughn previously said she got the disease from a man she was seeing while married to Wade. Wade's wife dropped the claim in February and the Miami guard sued her over the allegation.

Dwyane Wade is seeking full custody of his two sons and wants his wife to undergo a psychological examination. A devastating legal petition calls Siohvaughn "unstable, dishonest, unbalanced, unwilling to accept responsibility for her actions, not of good character, and therefore, unfit to be a custodial parent." Wade's wife, meanwhile, says her husband is "guilty of extreme and repeated mental cruelty."

HuffPo need to get the legal standards right. There is no "full custody" in Florida. We don't use that terminology at all here. There is parental responsibility, decision making authority, and a whole host of other terms that do a much better job at describing the parent-child relationship, and the parent-parent relationships. Also you don't have to claim your future ex slept with someone else to get a divorce here. I know it is nitpicking, but it is frustrating.

....so, what is the term Florida uses when a parent has the children totally in their care? The matter of calling it "full custody" is semantics, but it still means the same thing no matter what you call it...Sort of like, "A rose is a rose by any other name..."

I don't know much about her - but they were high school sweethearts. One thing I do know is DWade has an enormous ego. He donated money to a boys& girls club and had a huge mural of his face painted on the wall. I heard he has the same at home. When he went to a game with a scratch/cut on his face his band aid said WADE on it. I asked my wife if his face didn't know who he was? Probably he's a player like his friend shaq and there isn't room in the marriage for his ego and another person anymore. I hope she gets a ton of his money.

Think Dwayne has always stepped up to the plate re/ his marriage and children. He was married with child while playing college ball. I am sure that he is no saint, but he has always seemed like a role model to me; but, then so did Tiger.

You are pretty behind on this story. He cheated on her like a dog all over Miami, and then she foolishly reacted. This woman has done everything for him. She let him live at her house when they were teenagers when he had nowhere to stay. She was with him when his basketball career was nonexistent and he didnt make it into a school because of his academics, then later transferred from CC to Marquette. He got fame, and compeletely forgot all thats she's done for him. Quite sad really because she had a ton of plastic sugery to try to fit the model of a plastic NBA wife. Now he's with the actress who broke up his marriage. I see why the wife is bitter...
