Can you guess someone's political views just by knowing whether they watch sports -- or what sports they prefer to watch? One new study aims to provide some answers.
Reid Wilson at Hotline On Call writes that Republicans are most likely to watch golf, college football and NASCAR events, with the highest concentration of GOP voters viewing PGA Tour competitions. Democrats, meanwhile, are likely to be found watching NBA and WNBA games.
The findings come from National Media Inc. The Republican-leaning firm, which counts prominent GOP consultant Alex Castellanos among its staff, examined Scarborough USA polling from August 2008-September 2009. Click here for more results, including which party has more intense sports fans.
