As part of its stated mission, Ashoka "invests in people." Their programs seek to catalyze and inspire young entrepreneurs to fulfill their world-changing ideas. They envision a world where everyone is "a changemaker."
Their latest event seeks to make this a reality. On Tuesday, April 6, Ashoka is hosting a "Future Forum," a gathering of business leaders, government officials and social innovators with the goal of planning a collaborative entrepreneurial effort to make positive change around the globe.
Additionally, Ashoka will announce that The Brin Wojcicki Foundation has donated $1 million to Ashoka to promote a continuation of their social innovation projects.
"The world needs more social innovations. That is why we want to get more people involved with Ashoka. I think the more people know about Ashoka the more they are inspired to make a difference in their own lives," says Anne Wojcicki.
