Brad Pitt & Angelina Jolie Visit Bosnia

SARAJEVO, Bosnia-Herzegovina — Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt visited Bosnia on Monday, intending to spotlight the plight of 117,000 people who have not able to return to their homes, even though the Bosnia war ended 15 years ago.

But they tried to do so while evading the spotlight themselves: There were no reported media sightings of the celebrity couple.

The two arrived Sunday evening, said Aida Prljaca, the spokeswoman for the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees in Sarajevo.

Jolie, who has been a UNHCR ambassador since 2001, will visit projects meant to help Bosnians who cannot return home, either because their homes have not been rebuilt or the infrastructure in their villages has not been repaired.

Some 7,000 people live in dozens of refugee centers throughout the country. The other 110,000 live primarily with relatives or in rented housing.

Jolie is currently filming "The Tourist" with Johnny Depp in Italy.

Gee, I just saw Pitt in a movie from 12 years ago, and was awed by his radiantly handsome face, I'd forgotten how beautiful he used to be, but I thought it was too shallow to bemoan his current scruffy bummy look...until I read enough of the dialogue on this blog to make my head explode.

I decided to check his tenure with Aniston.. pretty much the same his good looks hadno gravitas.. but it certainly does now.. he's got depth in his character now which goes beyond just looking good. Same thing with Angelins for that matter.. it's beyond the physical .. or any imperfections.

Sarajevo, 5 April – UNHCR Goodwill Ambassador Angelina Jolie, travelling with her partner Brad Pitt, on Monday visited internally displaced people and returnees in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Jolie's trip came over fourteen years after the end of the war that ravaged this Balkan country. She took a break from working on her latest movie to highlight the plight of 113,000 Bosnians displaced from their homes and 7,000 refugees from Croatia, many of whom are living in collective centres, often in appalling conditions.

Jolie visited a collective centre in the town of Gorazde where the residents live in dilapidated accommodation with little support and with many completely overwhelmed by helplessness. She then moved on to a village near Visegrad where Jolie visited a family and talked about their return to an area that saw some of the worst atrocities of the war. Jolie said she was "so inspired by these families. Despite the grim realities of their unsettled existence, they have an incredible determination to make a better future for their children." Jolie then travelled to the town of Rogatica where she visited displaced people in another collective centre lacking basic amenities, such as running water.

I love how the usual suspects are focused on hating.. What I was drawn to was the fact that so many Bosnans are still displaced. I had NO idea. I could care less what their exact motives were.... I have been reading these entertainment posts for ~8 months, and so I have a feel for the "regulars." I know I will regret this, but here is my observation:

Here is my question to IMEHO: Why do you allow Brangelina to consume you? We ALL get it. You hate them. You already know you can't change the Brangelina machine, so maybe you should change the way you react to them. The problem is you clutter up the posts with so many rants that they have become a joke. Oh and by the way, Brangelina's fake PR campaign will not bring on the apocalypse. That's all I ask of my celebrities.

Consider deactivating your account. You are waaay too addicted to Brangelina. Have a party, get some ice cream...anything.

Oh, I have more observations on the regulars, but I'll save that for another day.

Also whats a joke is hearing over and over - they are saints they give to charity.

Newsflash they are not the highest givers, they only make sure their media connections enable them to dominat headlines.

I comment in direct relation to the time they appear in the news for absolute non-events. They went to Bosnia for a few hours and went to visit an orphanage.

Did they donate 40 million - that would be newsworthy.

Are they giving up their lacklustre careers to be full time volunteers NO?

So why are they forcing their "good deeds" on the public?
