One thing is certain: the people that were manipulated into the positions where their homes, retirement and investment funds were in jeopardy, so that they could be quickly taken from their control, had very little to do with setting up the system and rules, for those that now enjoy their plunder.

Let's be real. This commission will perform the same function that 911 commission performed. Phil Angelides ain't no Ferdinand Pecora. The kleptocracy made sure that there are no surprises.

Oh, there will plenty of evidence of wrongdoing thinly distributed so that no thief suffers too much. But the most important thing is not to do anything that might jeopardize the current thieving system's future.

This was designed to fail just like the fraudulent mortgages sold by the millions and credit default swaps that looted pensions.

The criminals are popping the champagne.

As long as there is bribery ... as long as we embrace it and permit it and as long as we call it by euphemisms like "lobbying," "campaign contribution," or "corporate freedom of speech" ...

... there is no Law.

And if there is no Law, there is no Government.

From the moment that "all civil officers" accept their first bribe, they become ... criminal operatives. And from their positions of power they can savage the lives of hundreds of millions of people with impunity.

The authors of our Constitution understood this. In a grand total of thirty-one words, they stipulated a blanket prohibition against official crime ... and they took extra pains to specifically name "bribery" as one of them.

There was Wisdom in this.

The reason why our nation is failing internally, is because we refuse to enforce our own Supreme Law. We've got 309 Million Plaintiffs, whose lives are being destroyed by less than 700 Criminals (including, alas, all of Congress, the Supreme Court, and more) because we will not do what our own Law says to do.

Just look at them, finely manicured and coiffured, dressed in the finest suits and silk ties, wallowing in all the pomp & circumstance. These people are so far removed from reality that they may as well be from another planet. It is no wonder that they are not serious about reforming their financial masters.

Put people in charge that have been burned by Wall Street robber barons, people who have lost their retirement savings due to the speculators cheating our markets. Then we would see some action, and at a much faster rate too!

A real commission of inquiry would generate conclusions that would make inevitable the quick retirement of a lot of politicians.

Can't have that, can't we?

So, this commission was supposed to issue a full report to the American people by this December on the causes of the financial meltdown. And now they can't, or won't, do even that.

Until each member of the commission gives us a full report on why they're getting nowhere, they're all guilty of complicity in the coverup. They come across as stringers from the Blankfein/Dimon finance club.

What a sad joke this is. So the U.S. goes down...not with a blast but a whimper.

What in the world is the purpose of this commission?
To deflect the investigations into the causes that have been understood for quite some time?

Ken Starr got $140 million to look for stains on a blue dress.

We get $13 million to unravel the fraud and corruption that killed our economy????

Where can we find justice? How can we find justice?

We know we're screwed on the deal when it is anologized to the 9/11 commission report. Also, it's nice to know the Federal Reserve loaned some people for this investigation. Investigations by the peers of these criminals is disingenuous at best, as well as a complete waste of taxpayer money. We don't need to waste taxpayer money to hold no one accountable, but it's all part of the ruse of democ(k)racy.
