Howard Stern Caller Pranks Fox News: 'Jamie Foxx Is A C**t' (VIDEO)

First Posted: 06/05/10 06:12 AM ET   Updated: 05/25/11 05:05 PM ET

A prank call to Fox News by an infamous Howard Stern super-fan made it on air on Monday.

During a segment on a West Virginia mining accident, the trickster known as Captain Janks was introduced by anchor Shepard Smith as "Richard Kendrowski," a spokesperson for "the energy company."

Asked to share information about the accident, Janks blurted out, "We've learned that Jamie Foxx is a c**t and that Howard Stern rules."

"That's unfortunate," Smith quickly interjected. "It's never happened to us here but it's always distressing when there are six people killed at a mine disaster and we're waiting for 21 others to find out whether they are alive or dead and something like that sneaks by our screeners. Disgusting."

Janks' reference to Jamie Foxx is related to the actor's current feud with Stern over comments the shock-jock made about "Precious" star Gabourey Sidibe.

Below, video from today along with several other Captain Janks pranks (warning: adult language).

Tasteless, shocking, disgusting, and absurd.

(So, why does Fox a problem with that? Those are their themes!)

Does it not make sense to have a 3-7 second delay when taking live callers? Production failure.

These are ALL harmless. Maybe these organizations need to do a wayyyyyy better job of vetting whom the choose to interview and accept as authentic.

I can't stand Howard Stern either, but these are great. Our national news media is a joke and this just sheds light on what a bunch of stooges they are. First they help tell the lie that got us into a failed war, then they don't warn of the impending financial disaster that happened last year They lie in newscast after newscast and do a half-assed job of finding out the real story. The okeefe Acorn fraud story is a prime example. Plain and simple, the talking heads and their masters all suk and deserve this.

Epic Fail. Why would you use a story with folks dying in a mine as a opportunity to pull a lame prank? As much as i hate Fox Noise this is just lame. Howard Stern used to be funny when i was 20 but now as 35 year old Stern is just some unfunny old 50 year hack in a bad wig.

For this kind of prank to be funny, there needs to be a detectable level of misrepresentation; the victim must be given a fair chance to figure things out. For example, there were the two French Canadian radio jocks who fooled Sarah Palin by pretending to be the President of France. That's completely outrageous, easy to check, and easy to shoot down. What kind of egomaniac would believe that the leader of a country that's a major player on the world stage would just phone up out of the blue? The prank exposed the weakness and gullibility of Palin's staff, and of Palin herself.

This, on the other hand, is simply a case of lying about one's name, then spouting an obscenity when given a few seconds of air time. Any w@nker can do it, especially when the topic at hand concerns multiple deaths in a horrible accident and NOBODY would expect some @ssh**e to turn it into a joke. In this case, I feel sorry for Shepard Smith and Fox News (and believe me, you won't hear that often, coming from me).

Most Faux News shows are pre-recorded; I'm surprised this one wasn't.

Add a 0, it was 500 million a the biggest deal given in radio for a 5 year contract and the reason satellite radio leveraged all their money . Nobody will get paid like that ever again so he is the last of radio giants .
