foxnews.com:

Look past the details of a wonky discovery by a group of California scientists -- that a quantum state is now observable with the human eye -- and consider its implications: Time travel may be feasible. Doc Brown would be proud.

It's a Quantumly, Quantistically, Quantitudinal, Quantumescently, Quantilicious Query. I'll give you that.

Gotta love those Huffpo headlines! Just think! In another universe, this very moment, you and Jessica Alba are....(nudge nudge, wink wink)

Don't know about travel into the future, seems impossible, well at least form the present. If one was to try, they might end up at the beginning and the Big Bang, for maybe its a circle. But someone better quickly find a way to travel to our past and fix a lot of things, for we don't have much of a future.

Remember that naturalists in past centuries believed that some geese were born from barnacles, that flies were spontaneously generated from decomposing matter, that draining blood from people was good for their health, and oodles of other false things. Most of those "facts" were based on observing real events and then drawing seriously wrong conclusions about what the observations meant.

There have been some very bizarre observations at the quantum level - there is no doubt about that. But what the observations mean is quite another matter. None of the conclusions listed in this article are supported by the actual experiment.

Lots of researchers are good with experiments and bad with theory. A good science journalist has to be thoughtful and skeptical - what a surprise Fox news didn't have one of those.

It's true... I was thinking about trashing Beck somehow in this article, but my "alternate" decided against it, so we both trashed Hannity. Weird, huh?

BTW... Hannity is a putz!

That article was written like an after school special.

This explains things much better:

This is some unbelievably misleading and bad science writing...

If this story comes from Clusterfox, then it means that there are no parallel universes.

so if krikalev traveled into the future, that means everyone on earth traveled into the past; all frames of reference being equal. cool. hello my fellow time travelers.

Physics (science for that matter) doesn't supply proof of anything, as any scientist knows.

Just because this experiment showed that objects can do two things at once , it isn't clear how they leap to the conclusion that there are other universes . Didn't the object do two things at once in this universe ???
