Jane Fonda On 'Larry King': I'm 'Not Proud Of' Plastic Surgery

Jane Fonda "caved" in to getting plastic surgery after vowing in 2000 she would not get any more work done, she told Larry King Monday night.

"If I was really brave, I would have not," she said. "I vowed I wouldn't--I did, and I don't feel proud of it."

Fonda, 72, has been upfront about the procedures she had done on her jawline and eye bags in February. She told Larry King she purposely left some of her wrinkles in place.

"I like my crow's feet and I like my little laugh lines," she said. "It was just the little jowls away, that's all.

"I didn't want to lie about it. I'm writing a book about getting older, so I had to admit it. I feel so good. I'm so happy."

After forty years, you can't find a better whine than that?
Thousands of Americans and Vietnamese were killed and tortured before Ms. Fonda ever made comment.
You might want to read something a little more current than 1975. Even Robert McNamara said the war was immoral, wrong, and was not winable. There was no good reason to be there and Ms Fonda (and myself) are part of a generation who lost too many friends and family to this lie. She pushed too hard but in the end was on the side that history remembers well. Vietnam war was wrong, period. NOTHING gained.
I feel for the veterans as we always do. I wish they wouldn't go. Remember "what if they gave a war, and nobody came?" (probably not!)

She did not call Vets right wingers! She referred to right wingers as being responsible for perpetuating the Hanoi Jane Myth. It IS believable to me that her role as activist in the Vietnam War was exaggerated, distorted, and she was made an example of. Look at the government at the time. If Jane Fonda used bad judgement she's paid for it. Ready to move on!

spoken like a vapid child of the MTV generation. Jane was partying with torturers... we aren't tslking waterboarding either, we're talking pulling your limbs out of your joints and spinning them around.

its not about defending the war in Vietnam, its about ignorant celebrity chasers willing to support a radical who posed for the enemy while her countrymen (who didn't want to be there) were being tortured and killed.
