Tiger Woods vs Sandra Bullock: New Yorkers Take Sides

First Posted: 06/08/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:05 PM ET

DNAinfo did an informal street poll on which recent sex scandal New Yorkers were more interested in, Tiger Woods or Sandra Bullock.

The results seem to split along gender lines, with the men being more interested about Tiger Woods and the women caring more about Sandra Bullock. And of course some New Yorkers gave the classic "I don't really care" response.

If only they were asked about Tiki.

. . . *loved* the guy at the end: Priceless!! :o)

In all seriousness, however, Woods will be fine as long as plays golf, and Nordegen (sp?) will (sorry to fade) quickly fade into the background; and no one really cares about Jesse James (*what* an appropriate name . . . however did his parents get *that* right?? ;o), but Bullock, even if she's not at fault (dunno one way or the other, frankly) will have to do a bit of damage control vis-a-vis her image. (She chose JJ--porn association and all--and it seems that his Nazi fascination wasn't a "one shot" deal. So, what can I say? Some of us wonder, Sandy. :o)

So the fact that Tiger had sex with several porn stars is less of a affiliation than Sandra's though it was her husband who was married to one?

I wrote a looong reply, but I'm not sure I hit the "Post a Comment" button, so if a similar response pops up, "Oh, well." :o)

In any event, my post went to what I thought the ultimate *public's* take will be on Woods and Bullock: people will like Woods as long as he plays golf well & his wife will fade into the background whether or not they remain married. Bullocks PR problem isn't her husband's cheating, but rather his Nazi antics . . . it's not clear that she wouldn't know about that and, if she did, it's pret-ty sketchy.

As for me, the Woods will be fine either way--they're wealthy--and if I were her, frankly, I'd take the money and walk. He's a headache. As for Bullock, my issue is to what extent she knew and was okay with the Nazi stuff. (I'm an African American woman, so that might explain my sensibilities . . . or not. Who knows? ;o)

What is the 'we need to feel safe' thing?

Great ending. Not a surprise that most women support or care about the Bullock story, women are more nurturing than men. Men just like the idea of a guy getting laid all the time. One of the things that makes this city so great is that most people build up walls, so they could not care less what is going on two feet away, let alone in others lives.

I'm female and have never got my panties in a wad about anyone else's sex life other than my own. The media, however, needs to be committed to psychiatric treatment for voyuerism.
