Oh yeah, and there was some other news this week, too. State politics look bad for Democrats, as new polls show them down in the Governor's and Senator's races. Chicago Dems aren't looking so hot either, as reformer Forrest Claypool challenged party boss Joe Berrios as an independent for county assessor. Plus, a bizarre murder, a bad break for the unemployed and excessive police surveillance.
