Glenn Beck Believes Gay-Handicapped-Black-Female-Immigrant Will Be Obama's Supreme Court Nominee

Glenn Beck prepared his listeners Friday for a "radical" Supreme Court nominee after news broke that Justice John Paul Stevens would retire at the end of the court's current term.

Beck believes that President Obama will--"if he's smart"--select a "gay-handicapped-black woman who's an immigrant" to energize what Beck perceives to be the president's flagging Democratic base. The Fox News host told radio listeners that the diversity of the imaginary, aforementioned nominee would be used against critics to "make the right and the middle-right into monsters."

Beck: She could be the devil, she could say 'I hate America, I want to destroy America,' and that way they'll only be able to say, 'Oh, Why do you hate gay immigrant black, gay, handicapped women.' Because that's what this has to be. It must be about.. And when I say this, I mean all of it.

They must energize their base. And Their base is getting smaller and smaller. Their base is becoming unions, thugs, MoveOn.org, Huffington Post--that's their base.

And anybody who has said, 'OK, wait a minute. I wanted universal health care. This is starting to spook me.'

They must make the right and the middle-right into monsters. Because they're losing those people on the middle-left ... those people on the middle-left back into their camp. And they can't do it without hatred and fear. That's all they're doing. That's why as they get louder, we must get softer.

Beck might be disappointed in Obama's nominee.

While there's no word yet from the White House about the identity of the president's selection, HuffPost reporters Ryan Grim and Sam Stein have identified Elena Kagan, Obama's solicitor general, as a frontrunner.

Amazing and astonishing that it is that anybody takes this guy, Glenn Beck, seriously, truth is, too many people do.

I know I won't be the one to figure out why, but I do know that trying to gently persuade, one by one, has some effect.

My most beloved (on a humor and affection level) brother believes the stuff that comes out of these Beck /kin people.

I do not fight with him on the particulars, I just keep my affection intact while telling him he is absolutely full of S*iT.

It makes him laugh, and the next time we talk he has usually softened his point of view on whatever the issue was (birtherism, for instance...I made him laugh as I asked him to scan and e-mail his birth certificate and I sent him mine. Both are illegible though official and legal.

Next time we talked he had moved on to another preposterous issue, but no longer questioned Obama's birth certificate.

Inch by inch.

i have a sister whom i care about but she's devolving...she was one of thee most compassionate of people who seriously cried if anyone hurt a fly...a FLY..! ...so how she became this right-flingin' poster person for the repubs is making the family scratch it's collective head...she started mass emailing weird snippets from the grabbox of insinuations and lies and untruths that is the fluff of the stuff that the house of repubs is built on.....she makes no sense..!!
so the old aesop fable does works...should try that instead of wanting to throttle her in a kindler and gentler way of course...heh

I think it's easy to figure why people like Beck. He flatters his audience. We, as Americans, are creatures of vanity. We have been raised from the earliest age to place our personal self-worth in the hands of others for their distribution. Beck tells his audience, they ("the hard working americans") are good and those that wish to take what they have built are bad. He appeals to his audience by appealing to their vanity, our basest desire.

I love the way that Glenn Beck has to use props -black boards, horn rimmed glasses, etc. -to try to make himself look intelligent so people don't think about the fact that the words comming out of his mouth make no sense. If someone read the same words he says standing an a street corner, tjhey would be immediately considered insane or off their meds. Then again, I remember the moonies in New York used to use black boards to try to make their cases too.

Did you ever hear of conservatives referring to "middle right" during the Bush administration? Fewer people believe in UFOs than self identify as republicans, so that's all they've got.

Again, how the hell can people listen to Beck and make sense of it? To believe what the man says, you'd probably already have to be a die hard conservative to begin with. To any sane person, his logic is twisted to say the least. If I want to see a grown man fake crying, I'd just hit myself with a sock and look in the mirror.
