I love our First Lady, but that dress is hideous....and I hate those kitten heels.

She should go back to wearing her high heels and towering over everyone....screw it!

11:14 AM on 04/12/2010
Mornin' Ralph. Of course she won't check with me! Are you daft? She can continue to wear them, and I can continue to say I think they're awful. Ain't life grand?

Dear HP, please stop with the gigantic photos. In order to make comments these days you have to scroll past the long photos, past all the Twitter junk . . . then if you hit the new comments button or the "Next" button it flips to the bottom of the page and you have to go back up and down again. It's getting ridiculous.

Hey I have to agree with you! I thought I was alone in this but glad to hear someone else thinks having to scroll down what seems an eternity somedays is ridiculous. I even get the same comments when I hit next!!

" she is an amazing women" a commen I have read many many times over and over again. Please explain what is amazing about her. many women have her kind of degrees (but they use i)t, any other amazing things MO has accomplished?and again it does not take money to dress fashionably but sense of style and yes it is very important for women to dress well.

Why is it "bitter" ? it is an honest assessment. if you really care so much you will stop being a sycophant and be truthful in all your comments.

She can write and punctuate a grammatically correct sentence. You should be amazed because you surely can't.

I know this is listed in Style News but how she dresses is so beside the point.

Yes she can!
Yes she does!!!

How she dresses obviously isn't beside the point. The number of comments pieces about her outfits generates is proof of that.

Image is a huge part of one's persona. If she were a dowdy dresser in, say, lace up shoes, matronly outfits, no makeup and unkempt hair, I guarantee she would not generate the same interest in her causes and good works.

Her legs do not have varicose veins. I have seen her legs too many times. That photo of her right leg, is misrepresented.
01:27 AM on 04/12/2010
Well, just fire that photographer for misrepresenting her leg!

Psst! Varicose and Veins are not proper nouns, but then again you wouldn't know one if you saw one, cleary.
02:57 PM on 04/11/2010
a proper noun or a varicose vein?

I like her hair like this better without the extensions. She clearly took them out and also got a relaxer.

Whew! Thank Goodness the dress isn't tight! For that, I''ll even ignore the green shoes.

For those who have been watching her since the beginning of the Administration, she has improved. Remember last year this same time when she visited government offices in T-shirts and capris?

It is my sincere hope that PolySci2008 isn't actually majoring in political science because it would probably take as many colleges or more for PS to get the degree as SP did to get hers. SP attended 4 low grade colleges before she finally got a degree in communications & journalism?

Cardigan may be sunny, but it surely looks sloppy as part of an outfit for the White House event --
more like what suburban mom would throw on to deal with a/c at the movies. According to reports,
she sounded like an executive as this briefing on "her" project, but sure didn't look like one.

Maybe the Mommy role is a deliberate choice?

Anyway, read here for some substance:

I'm not a fan of cardigans either, but they are very much IN; and, unlike the belts she wears sometimes, it goes really well with the outfit. I expect it was designed for the outfit. Very appropriate.
