Democratic County Assemblies: Romanoff Wins, Bennet Will Surpass 30% Threshold

Challenger Andrew Romanoff won more major caucus victories in Colorado's U.S. Senate race Saturday, taking large margins over incumbent Michael Bennet in urban county assemblies.

Romanoff, former speaker of the state House of Representatives, won in Arapahoe, Douglas, Boulder, El Paso and Pueblo counties, among others, in early reports from the largest gatherings. Many of Colorado's most populous counties met Saturday to elect delegates to the state Democratic convention in May.
