Arizona Appliance REBATE: Energy Star Program Underway (INFO)

The Arizona Appliance Rebate program began today, offering rebates to select Energy Star appliances purchased in Arizona.

The Arizona Appliance Rebate program is part of a $300 million federal stimulus program for energy rebates, and it follows similar efforts in Ohio and Texas.

Products good for rebates include clothes washers, dishwashers, and water heaters, and cash incentives go as high as $425 per appliance.

Arizona will give out some $6,237,000 in rebates in all.

The Arizona Rebates Web site notes:

Arizona residents who replace an existing appliance with a new ENERGY STAR qualified appliance purchased on or after April 12, 2010 are eligible to apply for the Appliance Rebate. Approved applicants will receive a Visa® prepaid card via mail. Appliance purchase must be made in Arizona. Online and out of state purchases are not eligible for the rebate. ACT NOW! This program ends as soon as funds are exhausted.
