Ben Roethlisberger Haircut: Should Charges Be Filed? (PHOTOS)

First Posted: 06/13/10 06:12 AM ET Updated: 05/25/11 05:10 PM ET

Ben Roethlisberger received some good news yesterday when Georgia officials decided not to file sexual assault charges against the Steelers quarterback. Since then, Big Ben has been bashed from all directions, but the most damaging development from Monday may have been self-inflicted.

Roethlisberger gave a brief public statement last night, and many were shocked to see the quarterback displaying long, slicked back hair and a heaping helping of facial stubble. Considering the stakes of the statement, the sight was quite unexpected. Today, however, Roethlisberger is in New York to meet with NFL commissioner Roger Goodell, and he is brandishing a new haircut. Ben 2.0's hair is cut much more closely, and while it is difficult to tell for sure from TMZ's footage, it appears he shaved as well. Scroll down to take a look. Which is better?

Quick Poll

How do you like Ben Roethlisberger's hair?

well, it's not shaved, by any stretch. It is a good example of a classic butch haircut.

So he's had a few too many and goes to the wrong bathroom.

Then he "takes it out,"

The bigger test (excuse the pun) will be if he "takes it out" when meeting with the NFL commissioner, Roger Goodell.

He better hope that Roger Goodell doesn't pull a "Milton Berle" and decide to "take his own member out."

Mullet boy is NOT attractive. Every picture I see of him he looks pudgy and unkempt. I can only imagine how much he improves when he has his drink on. Ick.

I can see why he's chasing the girls. Not sure his particular cave man allure is as finely tuned as some others'

Rapelisberger gets away with another one. No suspension, no trade, no nothing. While Holmes gets traded for smoking reefer. Reefer bad, Rape good. What a pathetic double standard and shame.

I have a good friend from school who is from Pitt. He goes to some of the same watering holes as Ben, and told me point blank to my my face that Ben is an obnoxious drinker. When he's wasted he says anything that comes to his head to women. A lot of the times they are so offended that they don't even care that he's a star.

The First woman said that all Ben had to do was donate to womens abuse and tell the truth about what he did. She was not just looking for money and look how people are doing her. It is hard enough for these women to come forward. They shouldn't having to be put through this by the media and bloggers. The second girl has dropped out of school. That poor innocent “southern bell”…. Ben has turned her life upside down and torn it apart. He reminds me of O.J. Simpson!!!

I think a crime was still comitted here though. The girl and her friends were in the VIP area doing shots with Ben and his friends. The girl is underage, and her friends may have been underage. Ben, his crew, and the bar could all get into serious trouble for providing alcohol to these girls. I know it’s a college bar and everything, but most places I know around here have been getting pretty strict about serving underage people.

Trying to clean up his act--clearly a legend in his own minds. He needs to spend some time on the bench-perhaps be told to do some community work with women abuse issues, etc. Not someone I would want representing my company.

He needs to spend some time on the "bench" all right; the park bench, covered by a newspaper blanket.

Charges should be filed for the haircut alone. Goodall must decide what's more important, the NFL or Ben Roethlisberger. It's really gotten that bad. All players past and present have be asking that question, at this point.

I don't like Ben Rapelisberger. He now has been implicated in 3, yes 3, sexual assaults. In the Florida case, I guess va.ginal bleeding, multiple bruises and lacerations doesn't mean much (it was in the medical report), because Ben wasn't indicted.

The injuries were treated with bandages of thousand-dollar bills. A full recovery is expected.

What is your evidence that she was paid off? Or do you just have a great deal of animosity towards r.ape victims?

You should read the article before you post.

Apparently the woman had asked the police to drop the case months ago. If she refused to testify against Roethlisberger, it would be almost impossible for the police to prove it wasn't consensual, even if there was medical evidence. I'm sure she has millions of reasons not to testify.

Read the case. She never said she was raped. Her sorority sisters did...no doubt because of Ben's rep...

The point is, the woman originally went to the police and filed an assault charge. Then for some reason, she decided not to testify. But despite that, the police were unwilling to immediately drop the case. Do you think it was Ben, or Ben's money that made her change her mind?

I hope he didn't pay more than three dollars for the first haircut. Or did he put a bowl on his head.

The problem has always been his behavior, not his hair.

He is still an immature brat.

Ben Roethlisberger Haircut: Should Charges Be Filed?

I've heard of "bad" haircuts, but I have never heard of "criminal" haircuts.
