Estrella Archs has left Ungaro, Vogue UK reports. A spokesperson said: "Estrella Archs announces that she has left her job as chief designer of Emanuel Ungaro due to irreconcilable differences related to the creative direction of the brand. Estrella Archs will continue developing her own brand, established in 2007, and presenting her collections in the Paris Fashion Week." Is Giles getting ready to move in?
After its disastrous dalliance with Lindsay Lohan, Emanuel Ungaro is looking for a new designer, WWD reports. Owner Asim Abdullah was seen lunching with British designer Giles Deacon on Friday, which started rumors that Deacon might take the helm at the fashion house. Estrella Archs, who worked with Lohan on her collection of hearts and pasties, will be out if Deacon is hired.
Both Ungaro and Deacon wouldn't comment.
