Rumors of a Tiger Woods divorce have picked up steam in recent weeks, with one source saying that the "marriage is indeed over." On Monday came news that Woods' wife Elin Nordegren (PHOTOS) is taking yet another vacation without him. As reports of a feud continue to circulate, a prominent gambling web site is allowing bettors the opportunity to make (or lose) money from Woods' marital future.
Bodog.com places the odds of the two filing for divorce before the 2010 U.S. Open, which starts on June 17 and is expected to host Woods, at -200. (A bettor has to wager $200 to win $100 in the event of a divorce.) The odds of them not filing before that date are considerably less favorable at +150. (One would wager $100 to win $150 if they do not file for divorce.)
At +1000 longshot odds, one can wager that Nordegren will publicly support the European team in the 2010 Ryder Cup, which pits European and American golfers against each other.
Gamblers also have the opportunity to bet on the profession of Nordegren's next boyfriend. Considered most likely is golfer, at 20/1 odds. Next up: "Athlete other than a golfer" at 25/1, followed by actor, professional musician and model, each of which is at 30/1.
Finally, the web site has posted odds on the size of a theoretical divorce settlement. "Under $300 million" is favored slightly (-125) next to "Over $300 million" (-115).
