good for them! I hope they enjoy their new dining option.

I am honestly surprised that there aren't any comments on here bemoaning a Taco Bell in India and that it is the downfall of their society. Perhaps the readers of HuffPo are becoming more tolerant of people making their own choices?

May be because most Indians are pretty sure that they are not giving up their crispy golden Dosais or soft fluffy steamed Idlis for the bland Chalupas or Fajitas! Taco Bell in India is a curiosity, and it will remain so for a long time!

What an ignorant fellow you are! Rats?!
Don't take what's eaten by some small tribal group which was trying to survive and apply that to all of India! Millions have remained vegetarians for over 2000 years or more! They did not go around rampaging and slaughtering buffaloes even during the worst of times.

What is wrong with eating rats? Do not try to impose your morality of stereo types on these people. Vegetarian? LOL.

they dont care about all the cows slaughtered around the world for taco bell food, as long as the ones in india dont have it on the menu

you would think indians would shun these mcdonalds and taco bells seeing as they only became successful enough to go global by selling cow meat products.

india has such an odd culture

there is little the people of India can do about a cow slaughtered and eaten on the other side of the world. Their money is not supporting such a practice so why should they shun a new food offering?

What is India going to do if you here love your beef so much? India did the next best thing which is to ban beef in its restaurants.

It is a little difficult to imagine Mexican food without any dead cow meat.

It's difficult to imagine Taco Bell food with real dead cow meat.

It's difficult to imagine Taco Bell as "food".

I live in the Silicon Valley and we have a growing population from India, Pakistan and the region. I use to be mildly amused seeing orders for bean burritos being given to cashiers by them. Man....I guess fast food rules.

I've heard foreign food doesn't travel well. Wonder if that works in reverse?

I'm actually mildly jealous. What I would give for reliable vegetarian fast food. Guess I'm in the wrong country.
