Jon Gosselin Announces His Career Plans

Jon Gosselin must pay Kate $22,000 a month in child support, but like Kate, no one really has any idea what he does for a living.

Short on cash, Jon sued Kate two weeks ago for reversal of spousal support and custody of their eight kids. Thursday he withdrew the papers seeking primary custody, stating that joint custody would be best for the family. He has also fired his attorney, Anthony List, with whom he is now in a fight over disparaging comments List made about Kate to the media.

Thursday Jon announced some money-making plans. He is selling his BMW to tide him over until he can find a job, Us Weekly reports. He hopes to get $25,000 for the car, which he bought used for $30,000 last year. There is also an alleged sugar mama.

"He has a new forty-something Washington, D.C., love interest," a source told Us. "She's rich -- and he's hoping to have her back one of his projects."

As for longer term career plans, Jon told TMZ he wants to get back into TV.

"I just can't afford the $22,000 a month right now. That is why I'm trying to find a job," he said. "I would like a job in some aspect of TV, probably as a host."

What I dont understand is how can a court order 22k from a man who isnt working? I understand he must care for his children but last time I checked the courts base child support on the 1.necessity of the children and 2. the income of the parent. Clearly this amount was based on monies earned from their show, however those were joint assets at the time and probably tied up in the divorce and whatever debt they aquired which I am sure is steap too... I am not giving him a pass by any means- but I think the child support should coincide with a reasonable connection to his source of income. I mean 22k a month is just unreasonable- unless that accurately connects to his income- generally its 17% of monthly income- so that would mean Jon has to make about $150,000 a MONTH for this to make any sense...and if he is selling his BMW for 25k chances are he is broke!?

Not true- Jon has always worked...and was a Computer programmer up until a couple years ago when he had to leave his job to stay with the kids so Kate could go on her book tour- remember? Kate USED to be a Nurse before becoming a stay at home mom.

I am not a Kate Gosslin fan, however, she is at least out there trying to make money to support her kids. If she left it up to Jon, they would all be out on the street. If Jon would start thinking with the head between his shoulders, maybe someone would take pitty on the guy and offer something up to him. Although,I don't think he has much more emotional maturity than his children. Kate may be difficult, but I will tell you if I had 8 kids and had to deal with all the shenanigans that have been thrust upon her by Jon, I too would be difficult to deal with. For some time I felt bad for Jon and how he and Kate related to one another. Not any more. He is a jack---!

As I recall... John had to quit his job as a computer programmer a couple years ago so Kate could run around on her book tour... lets just admit both of these people do not make the best decisions- but I think Jon cant get a regular job anymore bc all that has happened...and Kate- well she is dancing with the stars- what happened to the stay at home mom that couldnt imagine being away from her kids? Yes it is expensive to have that many kids- but it doesnt need to be to this extreme to do it- they would just have to cut back on luxuries which is seemes NEITHER of them want to do.

What kind of a judge awards a media whore 'alleged' mother, who never appears to be home, $22,000 a month, from a guy who is selling his car to make ends meet? How likely is it that this overweight dullard can afford $2,200 a month? In a few years, when the kids are old enough to understand what their fame hungry parents did to them, they'll probably all demand a name change.
