Sometimes 'SNL" is at its best when making biting political commentary, satirizing the government and the world we live in. Sometimes the show is at its best when Andy Samberg spits cherries into the mouth of host Gabourey Sidibe. We don't want to give anything away, so you'll just have to watch to see which category this sketch falls in.

I thought this would be funny until I found out it was a SNL skit. True to form it WASN'T funny. Sad thing is some of these SNL folks will get a 10 movie contract for not being funny.

Visually very cool, I thought it was a really good episode. It was so refreshing to see someone who
doesn't fit the "mold" bringing new energy to television. She could grow into someone like Pearl
Bailey.

This ep was so poor...Gabourey Sidibe had no business being on SNL...she was not funny and could not deliver a line.

I wasn't crazy about the episode, and I love SNL. She was fun, but i think inexpierenced with the cue cards and the speed of the show.

Seriously though what is up with the musical guest, MGMT. The internet buzz on these guys is huge. If I saw that band without knowing they were really popular, I would think it was either a joke. The singing was bad, music bad, and they looked like they were mixing geek chic with homeless chic. I would take a Ke$ha duet with Ashlee Simpson instead of these guys.

I am a big defender of Saturday Night Live. It's my all time favourite show, but I have to say that this week's was awful.
Gabourey flubbed five or six lines during the show and the writers seemed to not know how to write for her.

This skit was ok, but it's a good thing MGMT was the musical guest. At least I was interested in something while watching.

For the haters, if any of you was as confident and loved yourself the way this young women is and does, then you wouldn't be so miserable in your own lives. The best thing about this is the fact, you are hating and Gabbie is working and laughing all the way to the bank while some of you are worried about how you are going to pay your bills.

She won't necessarily be laughing all the way to the bank when her heart inevitably fails.

Mocking other people struggling to pay bills in no way changes the fact that Sidibe is overweight and unhealthy.

I thought the show was funny. GS was good. She messed up at points but she is new to this and did well for a first timer.

She in naturally funny. With the right vehicle she will be super.

She has raw talent that needs to be cultivated. I enjoyed the show.
