Anthrax Marc Mcmain Keyser

SACRAMENTO, Calif. — A 66-year-old Sacramento man who admitted mailing dozens of fake anthrax samples around the country has been sentenced to four years and three months in federal prison.

The U.S. Attorney's office says a federal judge ordered Marc McMain Keyser taken into immediate custody Monday after concluding the retired elementary school teacher "may be dangerous to himself and others."

Keyser was convicted in September of three counts of committing an anthrax hoax and two counts of mailing threatening communications.

At trial, he said he mailed more than 100 sugar packets that had been labeled "Anthrax sample" to media organizations, politicians and retail businesses in 2008 to demonstrate how vulnerable the country was to an attack.

Like a real terrorist would write 'anthrax' on the stuff to warn people! I would have given him one or two years. That would stop him from doing it again. You could shoot him, and some brainless fools will still pull these stunts. And wasn't the only known anthrax attack done by a scientist working for the US Government? Better worry about the drunk heading into your lane, before any terrorist getting you.

So, this guy was allowed to teach ? I wonder, did he put a return address on the envelopes ? The article doesn't say.
And if he admitted to mailing 100 packets, why only three counts?

So... how is that investigation into Cheney's role in the REAL Anthrax attacks going?

Probably as well as the investigation into his role in 9/11, and getting answers on why he had NORAD doing nothing for over two hours.

No matter how you spin it, it is still an act of terrorism when you evoke fears in people.

if sincere, then lapse of judgment is clearly demonstrated

did he include his physical address in the mailings?

the story is partial at best and i will not google to find the answer to my question
