Obama Iowa

New York Times:

MOUNT PLEASANT, Iowa -- President Obama is making an appeal to the legions of new voters who sent him to the White House, imploring them to preserve the Democratic majority in Congress. But party leaders have an even more pressing wish: that he help himself before he helps his fellow Democrats.

This is what the GOP has worked and obstructed tirelessly in hopes to prevent: "POTUS Obama stumping for anything and anybody."

They know this is one of his core strengths and the GOP has worked to undermine and dem0mnize his credibility and agenda mercilessly and without rest to prevent the unleashing of an untethered Obama stumping across the nation....BTW regardless of the rhetoric, this is the real reason why the GOP viewed that HC must be stopped at all costs and never engaged, in hopes to show an emasculated POTUS and de@d stalled congress as impetus for a voter revolt from the voter ranks that are ADD and comprehend only things as platitudes and sound bites (in other words, a significant block of the voting public).

The GOP has already started dem0nizing this tour with their "jobless tour," preying upon those that fail to recall that all this started on the W admin watch with the big economic bailout b0mb happening, not on Obama's watch, but on W's watch with ex-CEO of Goldman Sachs and W's Sec of Treasury, Mr. Henry Paulson which then drove a massive job loss avalanche which we are just beginning to dig out from under....again, but their message is playing to the ADD and sound bite information voters.

Its gotta be frustrating to Obama that he has to do everything himself...he's gotta give the big speech to sway the public (he's good at it), he's gotta make the calls and twist arms to get congressmen to vote for bills they campaigned on (part of being the prez)...but he's also gotta sell these things on his own and give the persuasive tv interviews. I can't remember the last president that didn't have other members of his party that could effectively communicate with the public on the president's behalf.

Obama is right to reach out to people.
If he listens, they will tell him of the need for jobs, and how lack of credit to credit-worthy small businesses is causing a lack of job growth.

Also, the way financial business is run, people get scammed far more often than they gain proper access to financing services. Borrowers, investors, savers, pension funds, and mortgages are all being placed at risk of grand theft by the countries biggest financial institutions.

"Ms. Cheney said she was excited by Mr. Obama’s election" it's not the Cheney I'm thinking of, but I can't get over this sentence.

The president's win/loss record on helping fellow Democrats has not been that good so far.
