You do not cross a child who wants to go the beach. Beach time is beach time. So don't you forget it. Oh, you wanted to watch a football game instead? Try enjoying yourself while burning your child's feelings. (via Passive Aggressive Notes)

Is this from Ann Coulter's childhood? Or maybe the title of her next book?

a child dictating to the parent what should or shouldn't be done? she's 'warning' them? that kid needs to be put in her place.

She's obviously parroting her parent's behavior.

I hope you don't have kids.

From what I can ascertain, the father ditched a commitment to go to the beach to watch the game, and then when he got this card thought it was funny enough to put on the web for all to see...

And this is the guy your defending? Yeah....

I hope that the parent responds properly to this kid's hurt feelings - the kid probably (clearly did) get their hopes up about a trip to the beach, and the parent decides to be a lazy a** and sit on a sofa? I'd have my feelings hurt, too!

How else should the kid express their feelings? I'd say a note (asking *sternly*) that the parent not break a promise to watch TV again is a good way for them to communicate, right?

So glad the Internet wasn't around when I wrote vaguely threatening and pretentious notes to my parents!
