Sarah Palin: Obama Is Perpetuating 'Myth That Racial Profiling Is Part' Of Arizona Immigration Law

Sarah Palin called Arizona's controversial new immigration bill a "reasonable...wake up call" Tuesday, and criticized President Obama for "perpetuating this myth that racial profiling is a part of this law."

In an interview with Fox News's Sean Hannity -- who introduced the segment by accusing "pro-illegal immigration" protesters of not actually reading the legislation -- Sarah Palin said "there is no ability or opportunity in there for the racial profiling" in the law.

Critics have argued that the broader powers of law enforcement officials to stop and question suspected illegals who would, with this legislation, be considered to be "breaking the law" if they are in the state, will inevitably lead to racial profiling.

Palin, however, denied these claims.

"Shame on the lamestream media again for turning this into something that it is not," Palin insisted. "Governor Jan Brewer did what she had to do as the CEO of that state to help protect the citizens of her state she had to do what the federal government has refused to do and that is help secure the borders."

ATTENTION PLEASE: When is Palin going to be charged for PERJURY as she did in David's last trail? This must be done as she committed a crime. If Palin thinks that David should suffer the consequences for his crime, so must she.
How can anyone respect the law if one person is charged and another person gets away with her crime. SHE MUST PAY. She think she can do anything and everything and get away with it. THIS MUST BE STOPPED.

While racial profiling is prohibited anywhere, it doesn't mean that it won't and doesn't happen. What constitutes probable cause for a police officer to ask to see the ID of a Hispanic person to make sure that they're a legal citizen of the United States? That's what makes this law seem so out there. Granted, we need to have better border security, but at what cost? Making our brown brothers, who are legal citizens, feel like they've done something wrong or snuck in the country because they just happen to be Hispanic? Palin knows that this law will lead to racial profiling becoming the norm in Arizona, but she's just toting the party line. I wouldn't expect anything less from her.

Sarah Palin - A White (illegal Canadian? Anyone Check her Birth Certificate?) - is pro SB1070 - Is A Tea Party-er - Against Big Brother And any expansion of Government..

What?...

Palin misleads using fear and people's ignorance... If she could "lead" I would have some respect for her. I wanted to vote for McCain - still may have done if he had chosen to speak any sense during the election and picked Any One other than this character.

For those who require Palin and her Ilk to do their thinking for them - SB1070 is a civil rights issue not an illegal immigrant issue.

Think About It.

The law assumes everyone in AZ is guilty of a crime unless you can prove innocence. So Law Enforcement can "stop" you without further warrant or suspicion of anything as assumption of trespassing Is a Reason to "Stop" you.

White, Black, Hispanic, Palin... Waive your rights in AZ goodbye...

Applied Without discrimination, this law allows for greater instances of White people being detained as "Illegals" if they forget their wallet or cannot provide ID for whatever reason while being questioned - this because it is illegal for this law to treat a white person differently than anyone of Hispanic Heritage...

White People with American Accents?.. Think Acclimated Illegal Canadian...

So IF this law is applied evenly and without discrimination - Those without color of skin will be arbitrarily detained in greater numbers than Hispanics.

Jaded views of why this law is a

Have you lived abroad the last decade? Fox Noise-Obama is not a US citizen, is a socialist, a Nazi(which are opposites politically). Bush giveaways to the wealthy/big business while sticking it to the middle class, and Palin-what an idiot/sociopath speaking of death panels, is found guilty of one ethics charge & claims she WON!!! How about Beck/Hannity/Limbaugh & the band of uneducated drug addicts preaching to the racists/radical right amongst us? Let's get one thing straight-Obama overwhelmingly beat McCain & you cannot take the country back from the majority-WE WON!!! Get used to it.

For a group of people that claim thet the left are nothing more then east coast educated liberal elites, they now accuse us of not reading that which we talk about.

The crux about these people, is that they hate the government, until they need the government.

I hear this: "Mommy...Daddy, I know how to drive the car by myself. Mommy...Daddy...I wrecked the car, will you fix it?"

Desmond Tutu just came out against this law. Hmmm... I'd like to paraphrase how the President said it: Who said Sarah Palin was an expert on [anything] civil rights? I'd rather get my advice from someone who knows about this (Desmond Tutu) than an pundit who can't tell if Africa is country or continent.

I am thinking that "RACIAL PROFILING" are big words and Palin probably doesn't actually understand what they mean. And I am also thinking she has not read the AZ bill/law. And that she probably didn't actually listen to Obama statement about the Law being "misguided." Etc. So she would have NO IDEA what is going on in that whole situation. So why is her mouth still moving?

I think Sarah Palin is a robot running a cheaply cobbled together OS with a cut-rate speech synthesizer that has been loaded with all the latest right-wing talking points.

Prove me wrong, I dare you.

That's caused by overheating in the speech circuits, brought on by the fact that her designers allowed for too little space in the cranial cavity.

Ever since I heard palin at the convention , I've really REALLY REAAALLY wanted to give her a right cross to the jaw. Not for any particular reason, just because I wonder.. If her voice is that high pitched, how high pitched will her screams of pain be.

If I made a statement that I wanted to assault Charley Rangel or any one of a thousand other elected officials, a horde of shrieking liberal elitists would descend from their various ivory towers and attempt to march me up the gallows. Fortunately we do not settle disputes like that here in this country--the Voting Booth is the decider. Come on Fall elections!

The only "myth" being perpetuated here is that Sara Palin has anything to say that is informed, worth listening to, or meaningful etc. This myth is perpetuated in no small measure by a media (including our beloved Huffpo) that has a bias toward items that are attention getting, cheap to cover, sensational, easy, and devoid of any purpose other than to promote conflict and manufacture "cheap thrills" that attract an already overstimulated but intellectually under developed audience. Sara Palin is a "myth" being manufactured by all media, left and right, and middle of the road. Its sensationalism, train wreck journalism at its worst, and its easier and more profitable than actual reporting. Sadly, after being fed a steady diet of such garbage, American's have developed an unhealthy appetite for "myths" like Sara Palin.
