Win Penguins (PICTURE): Creator Of 'Fail Whale' Shows Off New Illustration

The designer behind the iconic Twitter "Fail Whale," Yiying Lu, has created a new illustration called "Win Penguins" to celebrate the marriage of two techies.

According to Pulse2, the "Win Penguins" design will appear on the wedding invitations of Dale Larson, a mobile entrepreneur, and his fiance Laura La Grasssa, a developer (see image below).

The couple was engaged in a suitably geeky fashion, Pulse2 notes:

Dale was holding his iPhone in one hand and the ring in the other hand when he bent down on one knee. Laura said "Yes" over Twitter. Dale proposed to Laura at Harry McCracken and Marie Domingo's "Tech the Halls" party.

The couple told Lu they "wanted the opposite of a Fail Whale." "She calls her illustration "Win Penguins". We love it, and we thank Yiying and all our friends for their love and support," they said.
