They look like doll clothes. Sparkling and colorful.

Let see how long this little girl will remain a little girl, all ready wearing red nail polish and eye makeup.. good job parents, get ready for trouble later

And not to bash a kid but her designs don't look above her age and creativity, it's nothing amazing

This is really impressive. A 10 year old who loves what she does and has honed her skills to such a high degree should be applauded and encouraged.

There are some really mean comments here. It's just a little kid who has a passion for fashion. Where's the support?

If she`s related to Oleg this story really isn`t impressive. Dressing the stars? Well connected it seems. Let the kid have a childhood playing dressup not getting her head warped by the fake fashion world.

Well at least she didn't say Lindsay Lohan is her idol.... I mean Coco Chanel is a good role model at any rate. If her parents keep her grounded she might turn out to be successful.

But I cringed when she said "I just HAVE to have this"

Coco Chanel is a good role model...as long as you forget about the anti-Semitism and Nazi sympathy....

She's rather...affected, already. I suppose it's easy to feed a child's dreams of being a high end designer when you can afford to support that endeavor. Her family must be loaded. A kid doesn't just become obsessed with high-end fashion if they aren't exposed to it. But hey, I guess it's constructive. But girl's still got a lot to learn.

Good for this little girl. Now, when she is successful she can have her clothes made in China and put her label on it.

This is priceless: After being told by her French dad that his 10-year daughter old must have been a fashion designer in a former life, Jenna Bush Hager unquestioningly accepts this concept, no questions asked, no skepticism evidenced. How very 21st century this all is ;-)

It is a fluff piece, not hard hitting journalism. As far as I could tell, it was merely a throw-away line - a way to say "Who knows where she got this sort of passion so early on?".

And this is encouraged WHY???
05:23 PM on 04/30/2010
Well, why not?

Maybe she's just doing this as a phase and she'll lose interest when she hits puberty. But if she maintains the desire to design clothes, then that is great for her. I've seen her designs for little girls. Not that impressive, but she is 10-years old and you can see what look and style she is going for in every picture of her clothes.

This is no different than the children that are discovered to be child prodigy pianists or painters. Good parents encourage, support, and help their children grow into the passions they have chosen for themselves.

I suspect that is the reason.

You know what? I was feeling particularly piqued the day I wrote that, unthinkingly. I am going to agree with you! And fan you for being so graceful about it!

It is awesome that she has found her calling at such a young age. Some never find that which brings such happiness. Much success to her.

Class acts, the both of you. Insulting and degrading a child.

This is a cute story...great that the kid knows what she wants and is doing it now....however I could go a lot longer without seeing a Bush and being reminded of those awful 8 years.

I might call her a prima donna, except for the fact I'm so jealous she sews so well!
She'll just get better and better...and how fantastic that she loves vintage fabrics. You go, girl!

Haha I know right...her Dad's comment was the best "We think maybe she was a designer in another life." My nephew acts like that, kids like that have been here before!
