Christiane Amanpour Signs Off From CNN After 27 Years (VIDEO)

Christiane Amanpour signed off from CNN Friday after 27 years with the network.

Amanpour will be joining ABC News, where she will anchor its Sunday morning program, "This Week," and contribute across the network.

The face of CNN's international reporting, Amanpour premiered a daily show on CNN International and a Sunday foreign affairs show on CNN US in September 2009.

"This is our final broadcast, and I want to say what a privilege it has been to be at CNN for the past 27 years," Amanpour said. "To have had the opportunity to report the news to you all over the world, from all over the world. I have tried to be your eyes and ears in pursuit of the truth and the stories that beg to be told. That's been my mission in the field and here in the studio."
