Gulf of Mexico Oil Spill 2010: No End In Sight For Eco-Disaster

Bp Oil Spill

TIME:

It may be time to stop referring to the Deepwater Horizon rig accident in the Gulf of Mexico as an oil spill. A spill sounds like something temporary, a glass of milk overturned, which empties and then can be cleaned up. But what is unfolding in the Gulf of Mexico, not far from the sensitive shorelines of Louisiana, Alabama, Mississippi and Florida, isn't a spill. It's an unchecked gush of crude oil from beneath the bottom of the ocean into the water -- and no one can say for sure when it will finally stop.

..well what will they say when the foam start coming, with the mix the GOV.allowed BP to break the oil up.PHD'S go's unsaid, the well is not to be closed.thats the problem!sealing it is easy!i can tell you how to do it.with all due respect to the egg heads whom are pro's/HAVE NOT gotten control of the matter,,i have not had a reply from them as well...to just seal it for some other time.only take ------in the order i said before..i did not ask for anything in return.that might be the probelm......there is alot at steak...there is a below the surface slick they may not be easy to get to. yet it can.....there are all kinds of ways to stop this.i can give them list...that foam i spoke of,isn't a joke,it will also be toxic.about 45% in salt water.brow and orange in color.that the bad mix..now with the treatment{soap}of any king on this scale is left field.a GED this.food chain is one thing alone, .unless they have the whitehouse letting off not paying for each dollar for seafood and oil products we the america people are about to start paying, for this attact by BP- USA shorelines food chain and fuel supply's.and that is not 1%.note we have a shortage yet its coming up pretty good.

GULF COAST OIL SPILL POEM

Overrun by war and uncontrolled greed
Our world becomes more dangerous each day.
Dishonest politicians, criminals and the media
Survive by their falsehoods at play.

Bible believers preach, that the end is near
Our world as a whole is beyond reform.
God will eradicate all, which is wicked
By His fire of eruption and storm.

To evil’s victory, I will never concede
May its supporters anguish in hell.
By the grace of God and the power of faith
The goodness of man will prevail.

What greed has done, Heaven will measure
As patriots respond to the blunders of man.
Protect and defend what we love till death
As tar balls pollute the air, sea and land.

This is SO sad. BP doesn't have enough $$$$$$ to fix this. We only have 1 planet Earth.
Humans have finally done it......we've destroyed the planet. What's worse....some people are still so stuck up their own ass to see the harm they are doing.

It's funny how people don't react right away to dangerous disasters. Nobody seems to see clearly the magnitude of this oil release. So BP tried the containment dome that's as big as a 10 story building and it didn't work. Now the BP brainchilds want to plug up the hole with crushed tires and golf balls, did you hear this? Amazing. Of course that won't work either. Step after failing step will continue while Gulf coast residence will be mortified in one month when their 32 foot boats are covered in slime, and everything smells of sulfer.

Finally in about 3 months when all else has failed, the United States in a desperate attempt to stop the flow of oil will trigger a nuclear weapon on top of the gushing oil hole. They will get this idea from Russia. This will be the straw that breaks the camels back. Not only will it not stop the oil from gushing but it will open the hole in the earths floor from something the size of a pipe to a hole the size of 2 football fields! A disaster of unimaginable magnitude will result, poisoning everything in the Gulf of Mexico and beyond. People will panic. Everything in the world as we once understood it will change, you will be on your own. Then about 2 years later in the confusion, panic and martial law a nuclear war will ensue. The date of this nuclear war will be 21 December 2012.

Actually Imploding the well is exactly what they should have done day one... The drill site is 16,000 feet deep. the oil is no where near the sea floor.. And NO is wouldnt take a Nuclear warhead. But BP is sooo afraid they might not be allowed to tap this again the they will chance frigging up the whole region.. Acutally.. once it is polluted behond repair. Hell they may as well just drill some more right..

There is no hell hot enough for BP's execs or the politicians who take their money, no matter which party.

On Friday evening, Ed Schultz at 6 P.M. on MSNBC had Mike Pappantonio of Ring of Fire on his show to discuss the Louisiana/BP oil catastrophe. In short, Mike stated that Dick Cheney with his "behind closed doors with the oil companies meeting," when he was Vice President set the stage for what has happened with his oil company deals and deregulations of the industry. BP refused to add an acoustic switch (a shut-off valve or switch that would have stopped this onslaught of oil from the beginning of the explosion)) because it would cost them $500,000. This from a company that earned $9,000,000,000 (that's billion) profit in the first quarter of this year. This is no different than the Mine catastrophes or the Wall St. catastrophe. This is corporate greed with the help of a conspiratorial Congress on both sides of the aisle, at the expense of the American working man. Don't you people get it!

Greed, especially in the Oil Industry, has not morals, care about nothing but profits, its own profits. It is guilty of many crimes in the process of satisfying that greed. The entire world should be coming after them for their crimes. This is not our ocean, or that countries ocean, it belongs to this Mother we have been blessed with to live on. We are the only species on this planet that harms her, repeatedly. We do not have the right to do so. This madness must end.

This is the time to show your children what has happened and explain the details that the cost of a $500,000 valve more then likely would have prevented this mess. Show your children when the devastation hits in a loving and compassionate way that it up to us to get off of oil and that they can help by not driving as much, walking, taking bike rides using less plastics , etc.

It is now up to us to cut oil consumption and one by one we can make a massive difference besides new enviormental related technologies..

Do not let this disaster not be a great teaching tool for your family and friends please get involved with your neighbors and family and see what all of you can do so America uses less oil.

We can make all the difference in the world just be determined to be pro active because there is so much information on the internet and people you can invite to speak at a gathering who can give you great advice how to be involved in environmental change by you doing your part every day.

Something that needs to go-out to the international news networks, is that this well was being shut-in. Meaning, that that it has high production and was basically, shut-off. That's when the accident happened, as it was being capped.

They, the oil companies are making the price of fuel much higher by faking depletion and scarcity. This is criminal behavior. IMHO.

THIS is so infuriating! Anti-government IDIOTS. I hope you people get it now. THIS is the friggin' unchecked "free market." Lying, misleading, abusing workers--from the mines to the ocean, you give "for profit" all the "freedom" it wants and it will abuse SOMETHING every opportunity it gets just to make a buck!!!!!!!!

It's time to stop referring to the Gulf Oil Incident as a possible disaster. The Earth is in a wonderful state of cleansing and BP is now responsible for what could very well be a FATAL impact to our planet. Through glacial meltdown and systematic earth movements in the form of earthquakes, volcanic action, and massive storms arriving with unprecedented strengths and frequency, the planet is reacting to our fouling of it's beauty and moving towards IT'S future. We live by generation without seeing the resulting impact of our existence and are meaningless in the scheme of eternity. It's time to take the almighty down and hold those responsible to a World Court who will punish them to an extreme that will let all those who follow in their horrid footsteps, that their world will end if they contribute to the death of ours!

It's time to demand answers - video - all available information as to the current circumstances in detail so that anyone either within the industry or outside of it can provide input as to how best to solve the problem. Now is not the time for face saving silence and censorship. A coverup will be much worse for BP and the federal government as more and more damage ensues without some kind of solution being introduced. It's obvious there has been a major screw up on the part of everyone involved - BP, TransOcean, and MMS. The only thing they can do now is be as open as possible - thereby demonstrating genuine concern for all affected parties. Anything less than full disclosure of the current circumstances as a means to secure outside help should be considered criminal neglect.
