Jay Leno Recycled Jokes For White House Correspondents Dinner (VIDEO)

Wow. Not only did Leno bomb at the White House Correspondents Dinner, but he bombed with old jokes. As you'll see in this video from Politico, Leno reused bits that he'd done on his own show. Jay, they weren't good the first time. Stop using Kevin Eubanks as a gauge for how funny something is. That guy will laugh at anything.

I didn't think I could possibly hate this man any more.

First Clone High gets replaced with Punk'd, then Stella gets canceled in favor of Mind of Mencia, and now Conan gets ousted in favor of Leno. How come the cultural middle road always dominates over innovative, absurdist, and sophisticated humor? Can we really not grasp subtlety and do we need to be beaten over the head to appreciate comedy?

This is disrespectful to his audience. Even if he was working for free, which I doubt, he was obligated to use fresh material. You're not invited to perform for the President everyday, and he's unlikely to be invited to do so in the future.

this is proof of what I've been saying about jay.. he reads those jokes on his show, the applause light goes on over his head, kevin leans back and roars with laughter, a couple of hundred tourists from nebraska think it's a success.
no applause light, a sophisticated audience.. no leno.

Jay texted it in. That has got to be the biggest display of laziness I've ever seen, but on the other hand, no one saw the jokes when they were on the Tonight Show because no one was watching. Just middle-aged people nodding off just before the sleep timer shuts down the TV.
