Valentin Abe: Helping Haitians Feed Themselves With Fish Farming Projects

When Valentin Abe arrived in Haiti, he was startled that fishing that wasn't a large part of the island nation's economy. Abe had a simple vision: fish farming could be the solution for poor Haitian communities, providing jobs and lean proteins for malnourished people. Although the Haitian government and international organizations weren't willing to support the project, Abe invested his own money to get the project off the ground.
