Nineteen-year-old Samantha Harris just might be the first Aboriginal supermodel, the Independent UK reports. Walking for 18 different designers at Australian fashion week, and slated to be on the cover of next month's Australian Vogue, Harris has certainly made waves in the fashion world and plans to move to New York later this year.
She said, "I spent my childhood wondering why you had to have blonde hair and blue eyes to do well in modeling competitions, so I'm proud that a girl with my looks might make it."
She continued, "My Aboriginal heritage is very important to me. I'd like to be a role model for other indigenous girls."
