Conservative Party leader David Cameron became the new prime minister of the United Kingdom Tuesday after current Prime Minister Gordon Brown announced his resignation less than a week after a national election ended in a hung parliament.
Tuesday evening Cameron arrived at 10 Downing Street with his wife Samantha to proclaim that Britain's "best days lie ahead."
At just 43 years old, Cameron will become Britain's youngest prime minister in almost 200 years, according to the Associated Press.
