Former pro-bowl free agent running back Brian Westbrook is is drawing "serious" interest from the Broncos, according to ESPN's Adam Schefter. The 30-year-old former Philadelphia Eagle was in Washington D.C. earlier Wednesday, but left without finalizing a deal.
He plans to be in Denver to meet with Broncos officials Wednesday evening into Thursday.
Westbrook suffered through injuries in 2009, and produced only 455 yards from scrimmage. The Eagles released him in February. Westbrook has already passed a physical with the St. Louis Rams, with whom he is also considering signing a contract.
