Noemie Lenoir SUICIDE Attempt: Gap, Victoria's Secret Supermodel Reportedly Overdoses (VIDEO, PHOTOS)

French model Noemie Lenoir reportedly tried to take her own life on Sunday afternoon. The Gap and Victoria's Secret model was found unconscious in a forest in La Celle-Saint-Cloud outside Paris.

According to the Daily Mail, the 30-year-old model is believed to have taken a potentially lethal cocktail of drugs and alcohol and drugs at the home of her on-again, off-again boyfriend, ex-Chelsea football star Claude Makelele. Makelele is also the father to her five-year-old son Kelyan. After Makelele called the police, Lenoir woke up minutes later and canceled the ambulance. Then she left the house and was again found unconscious by a man walking his dog several hours later on a forest trail.

A source close to the model told the Daily Mail "After coming to, Noemie was in a state of great distress and clearly very ill. She had clearly attempted to harm herself and had fallen unconscious. She was rushed to a nearby hospital and treated for the effects of poisoning. It seems that she may have tried to commit suicide as a cry for help. She's now in a far better condition and recovering."

A spokesman for the Paris police confirmed "A young woman age 30 was found unconscious in La Celle-Saint-Cloud on Sunday afternoon....She was rushed to hospital for treatment for the effects of an overdose. She is now recovering well."

Also according to the Daily Mail, Lenoir had been experiencing "extreme angst" over her romantic relationship with Carl Hirschmann who is involved in a blackmail, sex, and extortion scandal in his native Switzerland. Lenoir has reportedly been visiting him often in Zurich, where the millionaire is accused of giving models vodka-based drinks called "Love Potion," then videotaping them in sex acts before allegedly blackmailing them with the videotapes. Hirschmann, who dated Paris Hilton in 2003, is pleading not guilty.

Lenoir's overdose follows recent suicides by models Ruslana Korshunova, Daul Kim, Lina Marulanda, and Ambrose Olson.

Lenoir was discovered by Ford Models at age 16.

If there was a goal for suicide, I can only say how good it is to hear of this plan going awry. Not enough stories of suicide attempt survival make the headlines. What a classic beauty, with so much ambition. When beauty is your business, it's going to be tough. There are so many demands for young women and their appearances. If we can observe in shock what the modeling industry has done, negatively, to the average teenage girl, then I can only imagine how it is at the epicenter, for these models. I can appreciate the industry to a certain degree, it has it's merits. I went to high school with a girl who was just starting out and appeared to have a potential career in the business right in front of her. It's been nearly a decade since I've seen her, and I hope she's alright, and I hope for that sincerely. But for any of the confidence modeling has spurred for anyone, there's also just as much of a dark side. They're basically given the ultimatum to work on the template of ribcage-thin, hot-list fashion sense, clear skin, and hair as silky-shiny-smooth as the robe of a goddess...or to hit the road. And here's our result. It's tragic, man. She's in my heart.

It's funny reading people begin their "sympathetic" posts with arrogant statements like, "As a mother..." You've given birth. Wonderful. You're not the first, and it doesn't make you unique or significantly wise. Depression is a crushing mental illness, minds become mixed up, and self-destructive actions are not always controllable.

Sad-She is so beautiful and seems very talented-wow-this just proves that you can have all the money, beauty and elegant things in life but if you are not happy within it doesn't matter. this makes me very grateful that I like who I am even if I am a middle age and overweight woman!

Just because someone is beautiful, successful, well-known, or rich, doesn't mean they are immune from mental health disorders that are disruptive to their overall well being.

dwill123..try thinking about not getting on here to show how snarky you can be...it will do wonders for your karma. It is amazing how casually nasty most people are willing to be to someone they don't know. Before you decide to whack someone think about a thirty year old girlfriend who was pushed to try suicide....remember most good looking people had nothing to do with their looks...it came by way of DNA...and its this society that offers up rewards to people for their looks...change society and stop snarking on other human beings

Though I do agree with you that we shouldnt hate on people because of the way they look, please, be realistic. Unattractive people are hated on, around the world, far more than attractive people will ever be. That does not belittle the personal experiences of attractive people, but there is a lot worse said out there about the unattractive, especially women.
